Curriculum Overview

A Christian classical education offers a rich and holistic approach to learning by integrating faith, reason, and virtue. Rooted in the classical tradition of the Trivium—grammar, logic, and rhetoric—it cultivates critical thinking, eloquent expression, and a deep appreciation for truth, beauty, and goodness. By grounding academic subjects in a biblical worldview, it helps students see all knowledge as interconnected and ultimately pointing to God. This form of education not only prepares students intellectually but also shapes their character, fostering wisdom and moral integrity for a life of faithful service.

St. James is a member of the Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education, Accredited by National Lutheran School Accreditation and recognized by the State of Indiana.
