Board of Christian Education
Donnie Fahler – Chairman

Hello there, my name is Donnie Fahler. I have been an active member at St James Lutheran Church for over 12 years. I have been serving on the Board of Christian Education going on my 6th year. I have been married to my wife Stephanie Fahler for over 15 years and we have been blessed with two wonderful daughters named Evelyn and Ruth. They are 5 years apart and have attended St James since their Pre-K year. My daytime vocation is being a pediatrician with IU Health Arnett and all the blessings that come with developing relationships with the children in the Greater Lafayette area! I have served as assistant volunteer wrestling coach at Harrison High School for over a decade. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, hosting family and friends at our house, spending time with my family, and roasting my own coffee. My wife Stephanie is the Chair of the St. James Auction Committee and also serves as volunteer educator here in the Greater Lafayette area. Her day time vocation is that of a nurse with Thrive IV and has served as volunteer Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at St. James for several years.

Mitch and Hannah Cox

We are Mitch and Hanna Cox. This is our first term on the Board of Christian Education. We are active members at St. James Lutheran Church and Mitch is an alumni of St. James Lutheran School. We have two wonderful daughters, Kendall and Finley, that attend the Early Childhood program and love the Christ-centered education they are receiving at such an early age. We are also expecting our third child in July 2023. Mitch is a chemist with Evonik Inc. and Hanna is a 3rd grade teacher within the Tippecanoe School Corporation. In our spare time we enjoy camping, spending time with family and friends, and anything Purdue.
Emily Glatt

Hi my name is Emily Glatt. I have a 4th grader, Luis and a kindergartener, Bodhi that attend St. James. I grew up attending the Lutheran school in Kokomo so I am very excited to have my boys attend St. James. I work at Vinton Elementary School as the classroom nurse for the Essential Skills classroom. In the summertime, you can find us fishing or swimming at Lake Shafer or doing anything sports related outside. I also have 11 bird feeders in my backyard so I love to watch, research, and take pictures of the beautiful birds.
Jacob Griffin

Hello, my name is Jacob Griffin. I have been married to my wife Janelle for over eight years and we are blessed with three boys: Mark (age 7), Gus (age 5) and Isaac (age 2). We love the Christ-centered education the boys are receiving and all the many blessings at St. James Lutheran Church and School! We have been actively involved at St. James for almost 10 years. In addition to serving on the Board of Christian Education, I serve as the President of the St. James Lutheran Foundation. Janelle serves as the PTL chair. I am a licensed attorney and work in the Office of Planned Giving at the Purdue for Life Foundation. Janelle’s vocation is a full-time mother and homemaker. In my free time, I officiate high school and middle school football, spend time watching or playing sports with my boys, and riding our ATV.
Ivy Meyer

I attended St. James Lutheran School for 7 years as a child, and loved my time here. I later attended Central Catholic and then Purdue, which brought me a deeper appreciation for my roots in small, Christ-centered schooling. I am honored that my children get to receive the same Christian education that I received. I live in Lafayette with my husband Andy and our 4 boys. The elder two, Cecil and Hugo, attend St. James currently. I work at Northside Music Company, run an AirBnB, and am a full-time mother to my younger boys. I enjoy ballroom dancing, board games, and camping.
