1st Annual STEM Fair

Thursday night, more than half of our student body and their families attended the first annual St. James STEM Fair. It was a captivating event that brought  science, technology, engineering, and math to life.

During the fair, attendees had the chance to visit various STEM stations run by our talented teachers. By participating in these stations, visitors had the opportunity to win prizes, and participate in fun, hands-on, learning. Some of the activities included delving into the captivating world of forensic sciences, engineering a spacecraft lander, tinkering with circuit boards, and uncovering hidden mysteries through microscopes.

In addition to the STEM stations, families had the opportunity to visit the 6th and 8th grade science fair projects. This was a great opportunity to witness the innovative ideas and projects created by our students. St. James is known for their excellence in Middle School education.

Nicholas Forsythe (8th grade), Cruze Guyer (6th Grade) and Sofia Quiroz (2nd Grade) were all announced as their classroom’s overall winners, for their hard work and knowledge presented to the judges. There were many students who received first place ribbons, and all students showcased their dedication to excellence. We are proud of all students who participated and are blessed to have Mrs. Sinka lead our science program in our middle school. Her love for the students and science shined as her dream of the STEM fair was brought to reality.

FAITH centered. FAMILY focused. FUTURE driven. FOUNDATION built.
