Fall Musical

St. James has a long tradition of musicals for our Elementary students. We are excited that we are back in force and sharing the saving news of Christ through our words and songs. As the children help Farmer Fred with his harvest, he teaches them the parable of the seed and the sower. When they’re visited by some mischievous crows and rumor weeds, they begin to understand that the best way to produce the fruit God desires in their lives is to plant their roots firmly in God’s Word.

As our ‘harvest” for the evening, we asked the audience to bring items for Operation Christmas Child. The “Turbo Harvesters” collected 2 very full tubs of items which will now be added to the collection at our local Thrivent Office.

Following our theme of “We Need Each Other” for the month of October, it took many hands to bring this show to life! Our cast was selected from students in grades 3-5 while all students in grades 1-5 participated in the choir. The Middle School students stepped in to paint sets. Ms. Goodspeed and her team of teachers directed the music and drama while her family stepped in to run the tech booth. Truly an all school effort!
